Blue Umbrella Disability Service is an NDIS service provider, offering a wide range of support to address the care needs of those living with mobility and other restrictions. We are a team of caring and compassionate support workers, who consider participants as their extended family members, and offer support with care, compassion and empathy.
Why “Blue Umbrella”
What does an umbrella symbolise? It symbolises protection, reliability and shelter. That’s precisely what we offer. ‘Blue’ on the other hand denotes trust, calmness and compassion. Together, our very name denotes the promise that we hold – providing more than assistance and promise. We empower individuals with the ability to live the life of their choice with autonomy and authority.
Our Story
Every journey begins with a special moment – the one that ignites the spark of change. For us, the moment arrived in the form of our founder Bishow Mainali, when he helped a young individual navigate through disabilities and lead a commendable life. It was then when he realised how difficult, impersonal, confusing and disconnected this entire process of assistance could be!
It was out of that realisation that he gave birth to ‘Blue Umbrella Disability Service’!
